Q. How do I get a username and password for KYVL?

Answer

All Kentucky residents may access KYVL from home by obtaining a KYVL username and password through their home library.

K-12 Students & Teachers: During the school year, students and educators associated with Kentucky's public K-12 schools can get a username and password from their school librarian or library staff. This login can be used all year, including the Summer break. However, K-12 students and educators needing a login during the break will need to contact their local public library.

College/University Students, Educators and Staff: Please contact the library at your academic institution for a KYVL username and password.

All other KY residents: Please contact your local public library for information on accessing KYVL from home. To find a your library, please see the Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives' public library directory.

If you are unable to obtain a login through your local library: KYVL staff members can send login information via email to addresses associated with Kentucky educational institutions, libraries and other known KYVL members. You may request that a username and password be sent to such an address by contacting us via our Submit a Question form.

Please Note: KYVL usernames and passwords can not be sent to an unverifiable email address and KYVL staff can not give out this information over the phone.
